El Paso police, who got to an East Side hotel with a warrant for Edwin Escobedo Olivas for violating his parole, ended up arresting three people on drug charges.
Officers with the police department’s Source City Metro Narcotics Task Force and Central Tactical investigators went to the Quality Inn hotel, 6099 Montana Avenue, around 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday to carry out an arrest warrant on Olivas, officials said.
Olivas, who allegedly had a handgun, was arrested in regards to the warrant, on suspicion of manufacturing and delivering meth and possession of a controlled substance – THC.
An investigation by police uncovered that Victoria Alexa Nuñez, who was with Olivas, was in possession of methamphetamine, according to officials.
Nuñez was charged with possession of a controlled substance – methamphetamine.
Officers allegedly discovered a total of 9.98 ounces of methamphetamine, 9.2 grams of “Kush” marijuana, 13 grams of “Reggie” marijuana, 19.6 grams of THC, and a handgun.
Another man, 22-year-old Adrian Armando Amador, who was seen inside a hotel room was also arrested on drug charges, officials said.
Amador was arrested on suspicion of manufacturing and delivering meth and outstanding municipal warrants.
All three were booked into the El Paso County Jail.
A bond of $90,000 was set for Olivas, while Amador’s bond was set at $35,500. Nuñez’s bond was set at $3,000, jail records show
According to jail logs, all three suspects had yet to post bail as of Friday morning.
