According to the Lane County Sheriff’s Office, 37-year-old Kyle Crawford of Pleasant Hill was arrested following a robbery at a Creswell gas station convenience store early on Sunday morning.
Shortly before 2 a.m. on Sunday, sheriff’s officials got a report of a robbery at the ARCO AM/PM at 305 E. Oregon Ave. in Creswell, according to the sheriff’s office.
According to the report, a man reportedly got into the store holding a black object and told the clerk to give him all of the store’s money. He at that point ran out of the store with cash and was seen running toward the Interstate 5 Bridge, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies and a Eugene Police Department K-9 unit arrived at the scene. Shortly after, Crawford walked back to the parking lot of the store and put his hands up. He was detained, and the stolen money was discovered in his pocket, according to the sheriff’s office.
