Southeast D.C. Man Arrested After Death of 2-Year-Old Boy

According to reports by police, an arrest has been made following the death of a little child in Southeast D.C. district.

At about 8:20 p.m. on Tuesday, officers responded to an apartment in the 3400 block of A Street in Southeast D.C., according to authorities.

Officers got to the scene and found the victim whom they identified as 2-year-old Aceyson Aizim Ahmad was unresponsive with multiple injuries to his upper body, according to police reports. Ahmad was taken to the hospital immediately where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.

According to a statement by police, the cause of Ahmad’s death was revealed by an autopsy to be from blunt force trauma. Authorities said 24-year-old James Embre, of Southeast D.C., was arrested and charged with first-degree felony murder.

According to Police, Embre was the boyfriend of Aceyson’s mother.

Witnesses said that the mother of the child was seen running all over the street in her underwear shouting that her baby was burned. Authorities said there was no evidence of burns on the child.
