Reno Man Faces 15 years for Second-Offense DUI

A man from Reno faces up to 15 years in prison after he was convicted of driving under the influence for the second time in five years.

According to the Washoe County district attorney on Wednesday, 36-year-old Jessie Lovell was found guilty on Friday of one count of driving under the influence of alcohol with a prior felony DUI.

Lovell was arrested by Sparks police in February after stopping him for a concealed license plate and noticing signs of impairment during a field sobriety test.

The sobriety tests later showed his blood alcohol content was almost three times the legal limit, prosecutors say.

Lovell had earlier served prison time for a felony DUI conviction in 2013.
