Physician Assistant Arrested for Distributing Controlled Substances

According to the Nevada Department of Public Safety physician assistant who had her license suspended has been arrested on six counts of unlawful acts in connection with the distribution of certain controlled substances.

Angela Lorenzo was arrested on May 23 by the Department’s Investigation Division with the aid of the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Investigative Strike Team. She was booked into the Clark County Detention Center.

Lorenzo lost her license in the past for the death of 62-year-old Leann Kasper, as well as her questionable treatment of other patients. She was also charged with multiple counts of malpractice and deceptive conduct.

The Department of Public Safety says the investigation into the controlled substance charges is ongoing.
