Man Charged With Murder For Deadly Shooting By Bartlett Fireworks Show

An 18-year-old man has been arrested by Bartlett Police for the murder of a teenager by the Bartlett Fireworks show on Tuesday night.

Kentrell Spight is charged with first-degree murder and using a firearm in the commission of a dangerous felony. He remains in the Bartlett City Jail.

According to Bartlett police, a little after 9:30 p.m. on Tuesday, a fight escalated, and someone started shooting in the parking lot on Summer Avenue and Appling Road. Authorities said the shots hit the 17-year-old victim all over his body, and he died not long after at St. Francis Bartlett hospital.

According to police, the investigation is continuing and more arrests may be made.
