A man has been arrested by several agencies in Poplar Bluff, Missouri on August 25.
Carlos Pawnell Jr., 23, formerly of Poplar Bluff, Missouri, was wanted for rape of a child in Knoxville, Tennessee, according to Popular Bluff Police. Pawnell is suspected of raping a four-year-old and ten-year-old child and an arrest warrant was issued. Investigators determined Pawnell to be in the Poplar Bluff area.
The Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Marshal’s Service and the Poplar Bluff Police Department worked together to find and arrest Pawnell.
Pawnell was arrested in the 500 block of Victor Street in Poplar Bluff on Friday, August 24 at 10:55 a.m.
According to Poplar Bluff Chief Danny Whiteley, he would like to thank everyone involved with the investigation which led to taking a violent sexual predator off the streets.
