According to Johnson City police, an investigation concerning suspicious activity at a local hotel led to an arrest on Friday evening.
Joshua McKinley Williams, 35, 3406 W. Market St., was arrested on Friday night because of an investigation concerning possible drug activity at a local hotel, as stated by a news release from the police department.
According to the police, Williams gave police consent to search his room, where officers discovered methamphetamine that had been “divided into several small baggies,” along with several items of drug paraphernalia.
Williams was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell, maintaining a dwelling where a controlled substance is sold and unlawful drug paraphernalia.
Williams was taken to the Washington County Detention Center and held on $21,000 bond. His arraignment is scheduled for June 11 in Sessions Court.
