Four Arrested in Brooklyn Marijuana Deal Turned Robbery

Four men are presently facing charges after police said two Southwestern Connecticut men robbed two Killingly men with a BB gun during a marijuana deal on Monday afternoon in Brooklyn.

State police said Troop D got a call at 3:25 p.m. with respect to an armed robbery in Brooklyn. According to police, they found the suspects’ vehicle and spoke to its occupants.

Police said they learned Miles Gill, 21, of 20 Weed Hill Ave., Apt. G, Stamford, and Joel Gonzalez, 18, of 16 Edlie Ave., Apt. FL2, Norwalk, attempted to buy marijuana from two individuals, Christopher Simmons, of 10 Prospect St., Apt. E, Danielson, and Jeremy Hammer, 18, of 117 Robinwood Blvd., Rogers, in the Quebec Square housing complex.

According to the arrest report, during the drug deal, police said Gonzalez brought out a BB gun and robbed Simmons and Hammer of the marijuana.

Gonzalez and Gill were arrested and charged with second-degree robbery, carrying a facsimile firearm and possession of marijuana. They were each released on a $10,000 bond.

Police said Simmons and Hammer were later arrested and charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell. They were released on $5,000 bonds.

All are scheduled to appear in Danielson Superior Court on July 25.
