Driver Indicted for DUI Manslaughter for Crozet Train Crash

According to recent reports, a trash truck driver was indicted on two charges in connection with an Amtrak train crash that occurred earlier this year.

A train conveying GOP lawmakers to their retreat in West Virginia crashed with a garbage truck on January 31 near Crozet. One person died and another was seriously injured, however, there were no serious injuries among members of Congress or their staff.

Two indictments were returned by the Albemarle County grand jury on Friday.

Dana William Naylor Jr., 31, was driving the trash truck and as a result of the crash, a passenger in the truck, Christopher Foley, 28, died.

Naylor was under the influence while driving, as indicated by the charges.

The grand jury returned two indictments against Naylor, one count of Involuntary Manslaughter and one count of DUI Maiming.
