Dayton Man Who Forced Victim Into a Dog Cage Indicted on Multiple Charges

According to an announcement by Montgomery County Prosecuting Attorney Mat Heck, Jr., Demarco Wright, 20, has been indicted on multiple counts from an incident that happened in Dayton on April 21-22. 

Wright allegedly forced his friend into a dog cage after he overpowered him and afterward demanded passwords and pin numbers for the victim’s credit cards. Wright fled in the victim’s car after sexually assaulting him in his home on Ashwood Ave. 

The victim got out of the dog cage and dialed 9-1-1 from a neighbor’s house. 

Wright used the credit cards in Kentucky and Tennessee and was seen in Fulton Co., Georgia after he crashed the victim’s car in a police pursuit. 

The Montgomery Co. grand jury indicted Wright on the following charges: 

Two counts of aggravated burglary, two counts of aggravated robbery, three counts of kidnapping, two counts of rape, two counts of felonious assault, one count of robbery, one count of grand theft of a motor vehicle, one count of theft.

Wright is presently being held at Fulton Co. Jail and will be transferred back to Ohio to face prosecution. His arraignment is scheduled for June 14 at 8:30 a.m.
