Crestview Man Arrested and Charged With Multiple Child Porn

Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office carried out an investigation which led to the arrest of Nicholas Allen Blain, 35, of 2836 Pear Orchard Blvd. in Crestview for viewing and trafficking in child pornography.

Blain was arrested on March 8, by deputies after an investigation that revealed several pictures and videos of child pornography on his computer.

Authorities started an investigation on January 10 to identify individuals utilizing distributed internet software to traffic in child pornography. That drove them to an IP address related to Blain’s street number. Authorities found a lot of files beginning from the IP address containing many pictures each, delineating young girls between the ages of 5 and 15 years of age in different conditions of disrobing. In a large number of the pictures, grown-up men were performing sexual acts on the young girls or compelling them to perform sexual acts on them, as indicated by his OCSO arrest report.

A search warrant was executed on Blain’s home on March 8. Blain was also interviewed by investigators, amid which he acknowledged to using Bit Torrent to download and dispense child pornography.

According to his arrest report, during his interview, Blain said his laptop computer would contain the images and videos he downloaded. Investigators searched the computer and found the images he described.

Blain was arrested on 19 counts of possession of child pornography, one count of obscene communication and one count of using a two-way communication device to facilitate a felony. Blain was being held in the Okaloosa County Jail without bond as of Friday morning, awaiting a hearing.
