A Chicago man has been arrested by police after he was found with pills and stolen allergy medicine. He is due in court on Tuesday.
Michael A. Dortch, 45, is charged with possession of a controlled substance and retail theft. He also was issued citations regarding driving with a suspended license, driving under the influence of drugs and using an electronic communication device.
According to a criminal complaint that was filed against Dortch in a McHenry County court, he was found in possession of fewer than 30 grams of Xanax by the police.
The complaint stated that he was likewise accused of stealing a 30-count box of Allegra Allergy from Walgreens, 100 N. Randall Road, Lake in the Hills, the complaint.
His bond is set at $20,000, which means he must post a $2,000 bail to be released, jail records show.
