An arrest has been made after officials with the Murfreesboro Police Department said a man was critically injured in a stabbing.
The incident occurred just before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday in the 1000 block of Old Fort Parkway.
As stated by reports, officers were called to the scene due to a fight. Once there, they discovered a man suffering from multiple stab wounds.
The victim was treated at the scene by emergency crews, and he was taken to St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital before being transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
The victim was later identified as 61-year-old Martin Kobe, of Murfreesboro. He was last listed in critical condition.
The suspect was identified as 35-year-old Joshua Kolwalski, of Murfreesboro. He was arrested at the scene.
Kolwalski was charged with two counts of aggravated assault. He was being held at the Rutherford County Sherriff’s Office on a $50,000 bond.
